This film easily ranks among the most baffling casting decisions I’ve ever witnessed; it really makes you wonder what kind of leverage the filmmakers had over the performers involved. The actors aren't exactly known for their awards or anything, yet so many recognizable faces ended up in something like this. The concept—essentially a _Mad Max_ story with robots—isn't new territory, and I’m not convinced it has ever truly worked well. Perhaps _Future World_ isn't the absolute nadir of that idea, but it certainly maintains a consistently low level of quality.
