Furie is a film centered on child abduction and organ trafficking, told through an emotional lens. The narrative progresses straightforwardly, rooted in Hai Phượng’s history and her bond with her daughter, Mai. This foundation of sentiment strengthens the effect of what happens as events progress. The central conflict moves from a disagreement within a family to a determined pursuit after Mai is taken. Hai Phượng's character arc is well-defined, demonstrating development as she confronts elements of her past and rebuilds connections with people important to her. The ending, though, seems hurried and could have benefited from a more gradual shift away from the peak of the story. Veronica Ngo’s performance provides both intense action sequences and genuine feeling, although her portrayal of a criminal figure doesn't always feel entirely believable. Certain other characters, particularly those representing law enforcement, come across as incomplete or somewhat strange. Even with a few moments that stretch credibility, the film’s visuals, audio design, and rhythm combine to create an entertaining and energetic action movie.
