‘Frozen 2’ didn't quite live up to my expectations, but I wouldn't classify it as a letdown. It remains very enjoyable, and I was captivated from beginning to end. These movies possess a certain appeal that is hard to deny, and apart from the ‘How to Train Your Dragon’ series, ‘Moana,’ and Laika’s ‘Missing Link,’ they are among the few significant American animated films trying to use animation for a full cinematic presentation. It's unfortunate that the narrative never really settles into something solid; if this level of artistry were paired with a truly great story, it would have been an easy win. Nevertheless, the special quality of the ‘Frozen’ movies is still present—it’s not as bright as before, but it’s definitely there.
