I’m inclined to award it a perfect score for the performances, the cinematography, and simply for trying something ambitious. Essentially, this is a movie worth seeing, one that most people will likely appreciate—though those who typically dislike films of this type have already decided against watching it. The film doesn't quite succeed in bringing its ideas to life. *Frost/Nixon* ought to have been an intellectual battleground, a strategic contest, and it required a sense of unease as each side tried to outmaneuver the other. It let that chance slip away. Whether this was due to the interview format or because the outcome seemed predetermined, the film lost its grip on creating tension, which ultimately weakens it. What had the potential to be akin to *All the President’s Men* ended up being competently made but ultimately destined to be forgotten because of a failure to establish the necessary atmosphere. The acting was outstanding and the visuals are undeniably impressive; it's an enjoyable experience overall. It just never reaches that level of emotional depth needed for true brilliance or lasting impact.
