I enjoyed this film slightly more than I did on my previous viewing; it does move at a leisurely pace occasionally, but when put next to Part III, the characters are noticeably stronger, and there are some impressive and brutal kills—one scene involving Jason emerging from the water stands out. The most significant problem is the editing, which feels clumsy – for example, one sequence shows Crispin Glover’s character being murdered in a kitchen setting, then later the woman he was with appears in a bedroom, before returning to the kitchen. There are also continuity issues that caught my attention, like the family dog appearing and disappearing seemingly at random. Despite these flaws, I still found it enjoyable enough. **3.25/5**
