It seemed logical to assume that following the events involving “Jason,” sensible people would avoid building another camp nearby. Nevertheless, five years passed, and that’s exactly what occurred. A training facility for counselors opened up next door, and soon there were leftovers at every meal. The question arises: could "Jason" have survived? Has he resumed his violent spree? Unfortunately, the suspense is limited because the narrative now follows a very straightforward structure—a beginning, middle, and end—though that ending feels more like an unfinished thought than a resolution. The scary parts might have been better if the actors seemed more believable, but all the shouting and frantic reactions, even within the dark and unsettling forest, don't create any real feeling of danger; it’s simply irritating, and Harry Manfredi’s music doesn’t improve things much either. Betsy Palmer returns as “Mrs. Voorhees,” along with Adrienne King as "Alice," but their presence isn’t particularly impactful, and I found myself losing interest around the halfway point. This is a continuation that wasn't truly necessary.
