_Free Guy’s_ initial idea is genuinely impressive, but it's let down by a disappointing final product. It certainly seems like the people involved had a great time creating the movie, although it was clearly very costly to produce. Considering the film’s price tag, along with worries about audiences going back to cinemas and the Delta variant threatening the gains made since vaccines became widely accessible, you have to question whether _Free Guy_ will even be able to earn a decent sum at the box office or simply cover its costs. Note: This review was written when the film was first released in theaters. _Free Guy_ eventually earned $331.5 million on a budget of $100-$125 million, and a sequel is now being developed.
