I’m at a loss for words... I ended up liking it somewhat. I get why the average rating is so low—1.7 (that's rough!)—but I really didn’t even dislike this 2018 reimagining of Mary Rodgers’ 1972 novel. This version of *'Freaky Friday'* turns the story into a musical, and my mind kept telling me that what was happening on screen wasn't great, but still, I don't have any real complaints about it—in fact, quite the opposite. I’m as shocked by this as anyone! Cozi Zuehlsdorff and Heidi Blickenstaff are genuinely pleasant to watch in the main roles, and, honestly, "At Last It's Me" is a pretty catchy song. Naturally, it’s far from being flawless, but considering what it is—a Disney Channel movie geared toward teenagers—I can’t fault it. Is a 7/10 too high of a score? Maybe, but there’s not much you can do about it.
