Two individuals making a living by disturbing the dead find themselves facing unexpected consequences when they intrude upon the resting place of Wolf-Man, Larry Talbot, portrayed by Lon Chaney Jr., who is desperately trying to achieve final rest. They join forces with Maleva, a gypsy woman familiar with his condition, and embark on a quest to locate "Dr. Frankenstein," the only one capable of granting his request. Although he passed away some time ago, his daughter consents to assist in recovering documents from her father’s abandoned castle. While there, they inadvertently release his creation, played by Bela Lugosi, from an icy prison. This triggers a destructive spree, leading into a more familiar monster-chase sequence. Dennis Hoey reprises his role as the local law enforcement officer—a part he often played in Roy William Neill’s "Sherlock Holmes" series—while Patric Knowles and Ilona Massey offer dependable performances within this diverting, albeit foreseeable, brief horror film. The musical number felt unnecessary, in my opinion.
