Two individuals making a living by disturbing the dead discover they’ve gotten themselves into serious trouble when they violate the resting place of Wolf-Man, Larry Talbot, portrayed by Lon Chaney Jr., who is desperately trying to find rest. They join forces with Maleva, a gypsy woman familiar with his condition, and embark on a quest to locate the person capable of granting his desire – Dr. Frankenstein. Although he passed away some time ago, his daughter consents to assist in finding documents within her father's abandoned castle. While there, they inadvertently release his creation, played by Bela Lugosi, from its icy prison. This triggers a destructive spree, leading into a more familiar monster-chase sequence. Dennis Hoey reprises his role as the local law enforcement officer—a part he often played in Roy William Neill's "Sherlock Holmes" series—while Patric Knowles and Ilona Massey offer dependable performances in this diverting, albeit foreseeable, brief horror film. The musical number felt unnecessary, in my opinion.
