I arrived late, about 44 minutes into the film. The remainder of the showing—roughly an hour and 45 minutes—featured a noticeable decrease in exaggerated accents. This was a poor presentation at Lighthouse, located in Wick 4. Recently, I dined out, and they were playing this as if it were a significant cinematic work. It felt impossible to move through the light from the projector; I could even see my reflection in the screen’s frame. I'm thankful I didn't experience the whole thing at a movie theater. Later, I watched the initial portion to catch what I had missed and wasn't satisfied with what I saw. A scene of Mia Goth tending to his injury was well done. I anticipated more from that collection of elements. The Forest Spirit’s acquisition of literacy was also pleasing. Victor seems to be overacting, both in terms of embodying the character and visually on screen; he’s essentially a caricature of Frankenstein.
