Following an incident, Ray—portrayed by Sam Worthington—needs to bring his daughter to the hospital. Strange occurrences begin at the medical facility, escalating when his wife and daughter are taken in for examinations, and his wife doesn’t come back. To make matters worse, the hospital claims there's no record of either woman ever being patients. He then has to try and get his family out from an organ harvesting scheme operating within the hospital. OR DOES HE??? *dramatic music plays* It becomes unclear whether he is actually seeing things correctly as the staff at the hospital tries to manipulate him, attempting to convince him that he’s essentially losing his mind. OR IS HE??? *dramatic music plays* I feel compelled to include these dramatic elements in this review because they're more intense than what the movie itself delivers. The plot becomes fairly apparent early on. A possible issue is the film’s brevity, paired with a somewhat protracted beginning. This initial section appears intended to create an impression of lengthy waits in a hospital emergency room waiting area (...ah hah hah social commentary…) But this extended first act takes away from time that could have been used to develop suspense and intrigue. As it stands, the film feels like an extended “Twilight Zone” installment. If you’re looking for a movie centered around the question of sanity that's considerably better, I suggest watching "Flightplan" starring Jodie Foster. However, "Fractured" isn’t really successful with this kind of story and I can only suggest it if you are truly without anything else to occupy your time.
