The film aims for emotional depth, yet falls short of achieving it. The performers seem eager to contribute more—particularly Fionnula Flanagan, who manages to convey a great deal through her performance even without spoken words, something many others fail to do with dialogue—but the writing consistently diminishes their efforts. Genuine moments are repeatedly disrupted by lines that feel like they belong in a lighthearted television program. The filmmakers seem unsure whether they’re creating a humorous story or a tragic one, and as a result, it doesn't quite succeed as either. This inconsistency is also evident in the presentation; the editing feels abrupt, and the camera work is often unsteady and uncomfortable. It isn't an unpleasant experience, but ultimately disappointing due to its lack of distinctiveness.
