This installment in the Bond series feels truly grand in scale. Agent 007’s mission involves racing against Russia to recover a significant piece of technology lost beneath the waves; its retrieval is vital for safeguarding Britain. The film delivers constant action sequences, attractive women, stunning landscapes, unusual settings, clever dialogue, inventive tools—essentially everything that defines and delights in Bond films. Is it excessive? Perhaps. But all Bond movies embrace that quality, and those that try to hide it end up seeming awkward compared to the ones that don't. Carole Boquet, as Melina, is arguably the most visually striking of the female characters seen across the franchise, with maybe only Bach from *The Spy Who Loved Me* rivaling her beauty. Melina’s presence contributes significantly to what makes this film so enjoyable. I consider it the second-best 007 movie ever created, trailing only "The Spy Who Loved Me." That's quite an achievement.
