I didn't connect with *Fly Me to the Moon* and found it underwhelming. It’s telling that I struggle to identify anything I liked about this film. Scarlett Johansson delivers a good performance, but beyond that, there wasn't much I appreciated. Channing Tatum, while usually an actor I enjoy, seemed out of place; he didn't seem right for the role—at least not visually or vocally, considering it’s set in the 1960s. The supporting actors also failed to impress me, although Woody Harrelson and Ray Romano were adequate. The narrative itself wasn't particularly engaging either. I felt that the scenes depicting the moon landing were familiar and predictable. The romantic storyline didn't work well; Johansson and Tatum lacked chemistry. Even the music was subpar, sounding like something from television rather than a film score. The movie’s length is excessive; there’s no reason for this 2024 release to run over two hours! If I were to overlook all of these issues, then maybe I would have enjoyed it...
