You should definitely see this Stephen King film! It's true he’s produced a massive amount of work, but truly great adaptations are infrequent. Most of them end up being low-budget movies that aren't even enjoyable in that way. This one is different though; it translated to the screen very effectively. The movie captured the same feeling as the novel did. The performances were solid, although I missed seeing a certain character, but overall it was a pleasantly good King film. It now possesses an 80s feel—old enough to be reassuringly familiar, yet still relevant today. That’s not something you see very often with his movies.
