It begins as a survival thriller, but the emotional aspect is what truly creates suspense. The movie skillfully explores the concept of guilt: that lingering feeling of regret over actions or words. What’s most disturbing is how one's thoughts can distort reality until it becomes unclear whether you are witnessing actual events, fear itself, or some combination of both. The film’s rhythm was effective for me. It doesn’t dwell on things; it gets straight to the point and uses its time to steadily build tension with scenes that appear minor but leave a lasting sense of discomfort. This isn't a movie designed to impress with plot twists, rather it maintains a feeling of unease. Belén Cuesta delivers a very believable performance. She’s understated, yet you can sense the underlying emotional toll, which makes her character convincing even when the film becomes more intense. The supporting cast is also solid, not overshadowing the central focus on her portrayal. Regarding the cinematography, the fire isn't merely visual flair; it functions as constant pressure, a countdown timer, and both a physical and psychological threat simultaneously. There are several well-executed moments where reality blends with what the character imagines. Ultimately, this is a very engaging thriller that also possesses a deeply sad and human quality. It prompts reflection on how easily your mind can deceive you when you're emotionally vulnerable, and on how rapidly things can go wrong.
