The animation style was something I genuinely appreciated while watching this story about a boy reminiscent of Mowgli, who has obviously developed survival skills like an animal living in the forest. He's struggling with a wolf until a hunter intervenes and rescues him. The hunter then brings him home, washes him, gives him a haircut, and immediately enrolls him in school. His first look at the teacher reveals her imposing cane. When it’s obvious he doesn’t know how to play football, his classmates start teasing him—though they seem surprised by his instinctive reaction to their bullying. He's equally unprepared for how the school will respond to what he does, and I started to think maybe he would be better off returning to his snowy forest on his own. There’s no narration, but the music effectively conveys the moods of hope, despair, and realism as this boy transitions from his accustomed way of life to societal expectations. One man's meat…?
