I didn’t connect with *8½* when I first encountered it years back, and as a result, I hadn’t sought out any other films by Fellini until now. Although I can acknowledge certain visual elements and some strikingly odd moments—along with Sutherland's strong acting—this one proved difficult to get through. Its length, stretching to 2.5 hours, felt excessive, and at times the movie seemed drawn-out; there were even instances where I laughed when I suspect those scenes weren’t intended to be humorous. Ultimately, it simply didn’t appeal to me. **2.25/5**
