The experience of watching Fall is akin to being 47 Meters Up, substituting depths for towering elevations. Fall manages to create genuine tension and unease through its depiction of extreme heights and dangerous situations. While the storyline itself isn't particularly substantial—which is understandable given the film’s central idea—Grace Curry and Virginia Gardner deliver performances that feel believable in their portrayal of desperation. A sense of panic permeated each scene, highlighted by camera work emphasizing the incredible altitude and expansive views. Director Scott Mann delivers another emotionally charged suspense film, bearing a striking resemblance to 47 Meters Down, even incorporating an indistinguishable plot development. The movie did run a bit too long, but I found the impressive suspense and character progression ultimately transformed a simple concept into something truly disorienting.
