"Falimy," helmed by Nitish Sahadev, emerges as another appealing film from Malayalam cinema because of its pleasant combination of comedy and serious moments. Even though the storyline is fairly simple, it guides viewers through an unusual and almost otherworldly family experience with a realistic flow and characters that feel familiar. The director’s skillful approach to telling the story gets audiences invested in what happens to the people on screen, resulting in a range of emotions. The music isn't as impactful as it could be, but excellent acting from Basil Joseph and Jagadish, along with good editing, makes up for this shortcoming. "Falimy" establishes itself as a gentle and well-made family drama, fitting comfortably within the tradition of feel-good Malayalam films and becoming an enjoyable part of the industry's collection.
