Despite being largely dismissed by reviewers, Fair Game (1995) isn't quite as terrible as some would suggest... particularly if you approach it without expecting much. The film draws its narrative from Paula Gosling’s novel, which had previously been adapted into Cobra (1986), featuring Sylvester Stallone. Essentially, Fair Game functions as a watchable action movie, though it goes overboard in several areas—massive explosions, unnecessary displays of Cindy Crawford's physique, nudity, a well-known intimate encounter, and performances that lack depth. The film’s primary purpose was to exploit the immense fame of Cindy Crawford, the most sought-after Supermodel of the 1990s... and it achieved considerable success in this regard. Fair Game has gained something of a cult following due to appreciation for Crawford's allure and Salma Hayek’s early appearance. Regarding her acting abilities, Cindy Crawford herself put it well, maintaining a positive attitude by saying "Oh well, at least I tried." She certainly warrants an “A” for the attempt.
