**FACKHAM HALL** unexpectedly emerged as the comedy success of 2026, offering a satirical look at British high society’s preoccupation with titles and status. Viewers who enjoy **DOWNTON ABBEY** and **THE CROWN** are likely to appreciate this humorous take on upper-class customs, from the grand Fackham Hall—which features the coat of arms "***Incestus ad Infinitum***"—a gag poking fun at generations of inbreeding among European royal families dating back to medieval times, to a clumsy Vicar (Jimmy Carr) whose awkward silences during services lead to some of the most amusing double entendres seen since **NAKED GUN** or **AIRPLANE!**. The cast delivers strong performances from Damian Lewis, Katherine Waterston, Thomasin McKenzie, and Ben Radcliffe; however, Tom Felton is particularly noteworthy as a man determined to marry into the prestigious Davenport family by any means necessary. I’m eager to see more comedic roles for him. Full of visual jokes, including a clever nod to the Bechdel Test, and a surprising reference to Snoop Dog and Drake, **FACKHAM HALL** demonstrates that comedies are finally returning to theaters—a welcome development.
