Expend4bles 4 is an uneven experience. It didn’t really grab my attention, but at the same time, I wasn’t overly bothered by it – which is a strange feeling. I'd say it's marginally worth watching because of the cast; they all seem to understand and embody their characters well. Still, I can’t consider it anything 'good,' since these movies are supposed to be entertaining above all else—and this one simply isn't, even though I didn’t feel an urgent need for it to end. It just feels pretty lackluster. Jason Statham and Sylvester Stallone work well together, although he’s oddly pushed to the background considering he’s the main figure in the series. Megan Fox is also quite good throughout—it's easily the best performance I’ve seen from her; I haven't really explored her films beyond Transformers (which wasn't great), though. Andy García is acceptable too, and if pressed to choose one of the supporting players, he’d be my pick. I am a bit shocked this series even got a fourth installment, because since it was released, I’ve already forgotten about it... and unfortunately, after seeing it, I don't expect that will change. It's the least impressive film in the set of four, at least in my opinion.
