_Evil Dead Rise_ provides a generally enjoyable addition to the _Evil Dead_ series, though some issues should be addressed if there's another installment. The acting is consistently good; Sutherland stands out, skillfully utilizing her physicality and unsettling lines to create a truly disturbing presence. However, considering this is the fifth film in an established horror series, it’s regrettable that many of its most striking scenes feel like references to earlier entries. In the end, _Evil Dead Rise_ falls short compared to the movie from ten years ago.
