This installment is easily the least impressive of the "Evil Dead" movies so far. The story drags, with extended moments where things should be moving or scary, leading to a disappointing finish and a feeling that I’d encountered this scenario before—and done better. That was my impression, anyway. The performances are acceptable, and the special effects aren't bad either, but they don’t manage to make the movie particularly captivating. I believe problems with the script, specifically its slow speed and lack of fresh ideas, contribute to a rather forgettable action/horror film. I’m giving it a 5/10.
