It’s hard to simply write this film off as mediocre because it received so much unwarranted praise; in fact, that hype made me actively dislike it. However, I won't dwell on it any longer than necessary and will instead explain what didn't work for me. The biggest issue is the movie’s inability to create a genuine emotional investment from the audience. This stems largely from the plot being filled with absurdity. Whenever the main characters faced a challenge, they had to resort to ridiculous solutions to escape their predicaments—repeatedly and consistently. Another factor contributing to this lack of connection was the absence of relatable characters. Every character seemed entirely self-centered or unpleasant, fighting for causes that were just an incoherent jumble (apparently because they're incapable of making things better, so they prefer a chaotic mess over nothing at all). Ultimately, I simply didn’t find myself invested in anything happening on screen. If you consider it insightful to ponder what life would be like with sausages for fingers—just as an example—then this movie might appeal to you. But if that kind of question strikes you as silly and not amusing since childhood, you should probably save your time and money. Despite my criticisms, there were a few positive aspects, which is why I gave it a 4/10. These included decent cinematography, professional production values, some competent acting (despite the poor material the actors had to work with), and occasional humorous moments—if one can tolerate the overall silliness and stupidity. Nevertheless, at its core, the movie remains an exercise in nonsense that left me feeling detached.
