“Everything Everywhere All at Once” proves to be an enjoyable watch. A family facing scrutiny over tax fraud suddenly gets pulled into a multiverse storyline, where they must work together to prevent the end of everything. Jamie Lee Curtis portrays the investigator attempting to uncover suspicious deductions, while Michelle Yeoh (as Evelyn Wang) is responsible for explaining things, even as her husband Waymond (Ke Huy Quan) travels between different universes. The result is an exciting and emotional science fiction adventure that keeps viewers wondering what will happen next. The four lead actors are excellent, portraying very distinct versions of the same family members. Michelle Yeoh and Ke Huy Quan particularly shine, demonstrating not only their martial arts abilities but also a great sense of humor as they shift between different character iterations in each universe. The affection and optimism displayed by the main characters stands out against the impersonal nature of the multiverse.
