It had been quite a while since I watched this film; I believe the last time was during my high school years more than two decades ago. It's a charming musical-comedy with Gene Wilder at his finest, showcasing a style of dry, sarcastic humor that really appealed to me. The visual presentation was also superb, and the songs—particularly those performed by the Oompa Loompas—were fantastic and memorable. **4.25/5**
