In this live-action prequel to the 1994 comedy hit, the Flintstones and the Rubbles go on a trip to Rock Vegas, where Wilma is pursued by playboy Chip Rockefeller. The Flintstones in Viva Rock Vegas is a direct-to-video movie that serves as both a prequel and sequel, helmed by Brian Levant, who also directed the initial Flintstones film and Jingle All The Way with Arnold Schwarzenegger. Because the original actors weren't involved this time around, it was made with a new cast, and I regret not having watched it earlier. Aside from the casting choices, the movie tells an engaging story for these familiar characters that is comparable to the first one. It’s worth doing yourself a favor by watching this film before going back to the original, so you can revisit some happy memories from when you were younger.
