While this offering doesn’t quite reach the heights of action movies from the 1980s, it remains an enjoyable thriller, even if there were instances that elicited unintentional laughter. The scene where Snake rides a wave felt underwhelming rather than impressive, and the special effects weren't particularly well-executed. Although I don’t have a strong attachment to *Escape from New York*, I must say that film was considerably better. **3.0/5**
