I’m not certain I would have enjoyed the film so much without Millie Bobby Brown, because she delivers a really great performance. *Enola Holmes* is watchable, despite some problems. The story didn't particularly grab me, and the mystery aspects are just okay, although there are a few decent scenes here and there. The comedy works well, as does pretty much everything else. I wasn’t keen on the frequent breaks in the narrative, but Brown makes them acceptable enough that they aren’t bothersome. Louis Partridge also stands out. Henry Cavill and Sam Claflin do a good job with their roles as Sherlock and Mycroft. It was nice to see Burn Gorman and Adeel Akhtar in their parts too. The actors are all pretty enjoyable to watch together. I imagine this will probably get several more installments, and I think it could become a decent, though not exceptional, ongoing show—provided Brown remains involved.
