It’s frustrating when a film featuring an actor I like, such as Matt Damon, turns out to be so underwhelming. It felt as though someone conceived of a promising concept and pitched it to the studio, but then began production without a proper narrative foundation, essentially improvising the plot. Really, regardless of the medium—whether it's based on a book, television series, film, or comic—a solid story is essential; even if presented in the simplest setting, it can still be enjoyable.
