What a letdown this film turned out to be. The narrative itself wasn’t the problem; actually, that was well-done. However, like so many films these days, the script suffers from unnecessary and unwelcome social messaging that transforms what could have been a significant story about protecting vulnerable creatures into something else entirely. That kind of approach is sure to push away a large portion of the audience. I honestly couldn't manage to watch past the first half-hour before giving up. ⭐
