This movie, made in the autumn of 1983, offers a chance to see Virginia Madsen when she was younger and charming, plus an interesting look at what home computers were like long before they became everyday items. Lenny von Dohlen does a solid job as the lead character, reminiscent of Superman. It’s kind of like a lighter, more enjoyable take on “Demon Seed,” which came out seven years prior. Naturally, the concept of a computer gaining awareness and controlling events goes all the way back to “2001: A Space Odyssey.” The film has a running time of 1 hour and 36 minutes and was filmed in San Francisco, with the exception of Miles and Madeline's apartment scenes, which were done on a set in Twickenham, near London.
