The movie *Election* takes its time getting going, but ultimately proves to be an enjoyable experience. It’s certainly something you should see. Matthew Broderick gives a strong performance, and Reese Witherspoon and Chris Klein are also very good. The story heads in some surprising directions and still manages to pull it off. There's a clever reference later on as well. I wasn't crazy about the sections with narration happening inside someone’s head, but they weren’t significant enough to really hurt the film.
