I wasn't aware of Eldorado or this facet of Nazism prior to watching it. The documentary essentially details the declining acceptance of LGBT people as Nazism progressed in the 1930s, specifically within a nation that had previously been quite progressive socially. It’s strange to learn that some prominent figures within the Nazi party were involved with this community, and yet they themselves weren't considered acceptable or tolerable. The film also highlights how gender-affirming surgeries were surprisingly advanced in comparison to practices elsewhere during that brief period of freedom following the 1920s, incorporating uncommon video clips and photographs related to the movement. This is a genuinely informative and well-made Netflix documentary, demonstrating an improvement in content quality for their streaming service recently. I’d give it an 8.0 out of 10.0 or a grade of A-.
