It’s intensely dark, so much so that David Lynch’s work seems straightforward in comparison. For viewers who appreciate narratives that are deliberately obscure and invite multiple interpretations—something I personally enjoy—this film will likely be rewarding. I kept questioning whether it served as an allegory, if it explored themes of human cruelty and the nature of existence itself—and ultimately, I believe that's precisely what it does. The cinematography is gorgeous, the music creates a lingering atmosphere, and the performances are excellent. If you surrender to its unconventional style and resist expecting the immediate gratification common in American movies, you’ll probably find it quite pleasant. It can feel like sinking into a comforting bath—or perhaps trigger extreme distress. Maybe even both at once.
