It was definitely worth seeing in a larger theater. The size of the worms was striking. This film manages to convey an impressive sense of scope that’s something Michael Bay seems unable to achieve with his films about robots. The length felt excessive when I reflect on it, and I'm not entirely clear how the three hours disappeared. It all builds toward the major confrontation, interspersed with some political maneuvering. I remain puzzled by the logistics—how do they get onto the worms, or transport sizable numbers of people? Can they control the worms’ movements and allow passengers to board, and if so, why aren't there designated stables for them?
