It’s a peculiar film, and yet it sticks with you. *Driving Miss Daisy* seems to avoid fully confronting the broader issues related to prejudice that it touches upon, but ultimately it's an enjoyable story about unexpected connections between people. I appreciate movies that track characters over long periods; watching them mature and change as they get older is something I find appealing. Morgan Freeman delivers a wonderful performance, and so does Jessica Tandy. Dan Aykroyd and Esther Rolle are also present in their roles. Hans Zimmer composed the music, and while I generally admire his work, I'm not sure the score quite works here. It’s decent enough, but initially it feels too prominent, almost jarring. It settles in better toward the conclusion, though.
