It took a lot of effort to track down the Director’s cut, but it was absolutely worth it. *Drive* from 1997 is incredibly entertaining. Dacascos and Hardison have fantastic chemistry together; they're hilarious as a buddy comedy duo. Brittany Murphy also stands out, even though she has a limited amount of screen time. The action sequences are outstanding too. Koichi Sakamoto brought his A-game with all sorts of dynamic flips and poses reminiscent of Japanese tokusatsu shows. His work alongside Wang is really impressive, and it’s disappointing that they didn't do more projects together; they would have created some truly enjoyable action films. If you want to see more of Sakamoto or Wang, I suggest checking out Sakamoto’s appearances in Sentai/Kamen Rider and Steve Wang’s American adaptation of *Kamen Rider Ryuki*, called *Dragon Knight*.
