It took a real effort to track down the Director’s cut, but it was absolutely worth the trouble. *Drive* from 1997 is just incredibly entertaining. Dacascos and Hardison have fantastic chemistry together; they make a great buddy comedy duo. Brittany Murphy also stands out, even with her limited screen time—she really steals every scene she’s in. And naturally, the action sequences are phenomenal. Koichi Sakamoto brought his A-game, delivering all kinds of dynamic flips and poses reminiscent of Japanese tokusatsu shows. His collaborations with Wang were exceptional, and it's disappointing that they didn't do more projects together; they would have created some truly enjoyable action films. If you’re a fan of Sakamoto or Wang, I suggest checking out Sakamoto’s work in *Sentai/Kamen Rider* and Steve Wang’s adaptation of *Kamen Rider Ryuki*, called *Dragon Knight*.
