I’d been anticipating this film after hearing positive buzz, and it certainly lived up to the hype. It's not only a strong horror movie but also simply a superb piece of filmmaking. The narrative unfolds over roughly two hours and incorporates flashbacks throughout, which really adds layers to the central figure. There are considerable graphic elements that intensify as the story progresses. A good amount of dark comedy and dramatic moments are woven in to provide balance, and even the smaller roles benefit from some depth and character progression. The movie draws inspiration from a real-life mass murder event, although the plot itself is fabricated. I’ve watched other movies featuring Jose before, but she never truly stood out until this one. Josie Ho delivers an outstanding performance, and I'm eager to see more of her work.
