I’m awarding this one a perfect score. I went in expecting it to be terrible, and then a 1987 Saab 900 appeared on screen—a car remarkably similar to the hatchback two-door version I owned back in 2000. At that point, I decided that the car would be the best thing about what I anticipated being a dreadful film. But they destroyed it. Not long after that, Georgia Hatzis’s nudity was displayed, and… wow. Suddenly, she became the new hero of the movie; I could definitely get on board with that, and it gave me reason to keep watching. Then an elderly character was introduced—a man who had some truly memorable lines. He was incredibly funny in a very subtle way, and while the film still felt rough around the edges, it started developing a certain charm that I found appealing. It slowly won me over. It transformed from a low-budget horror movie that seemed amateurish into something genuinely entertaining. And frankly, entertainment is all I need from a film.
