It feels like "Agonise" would have been a more fitting name than “Agonos,” because that’s pretty much how I felt after watching this fantasy film. The story involves a kingdom facing invasion, and Braedyn (played by Ryan Livingstone) has to find the last dragon in the hope it will assist him and his small group of brave companions in stopping the demon lord Abaddon from destroying everything. There are two significant drawbacks. It’s clear that the production had a very restricted budget, which is highlighted by the single-camera fight scenes and the noticeably limited visual effects. Also, there's hardly any dragon to be seen! While it attempts a darker tone—the seemingly unstoppable masked enemies do manage to create some tension—it suffers from excessive dialogue, and the actors don’t quite connect with what they’re doing in a story that follows familiar plot lines. However, it isn’t terrible, and director Lawrie Brewster may have simply tried too hard, particularly considering the constraints of his cast. It's easily forgotten television programming; though, if you enjoy this type of film (and I do), it might still be worth seeing.
