The film *Dracula*, also known as *Horror of Dracula*, adheres closely to familiar conventions of the Dracula story. This installment centers more on Dr. Van Helsing than on Dracula himself, limiting the appearances of the character named in the title. Nevertheless, the performances are generally strong among the primary cast, including that of Dracula. The movie doesn’t attempt to expand upon established Dracula mythology; instead, it delivers a dependable film working within those existing boundaries, which proves adequate. It isn't particularly innovative, but thankfully, it also avoids being disappointing. It does feel somewhat slow at times, though the music is good and helps pull viewers into the action—a welcome element in many older films.
