Dr. Cheon and the Lost Talisman manages to be oddly engaging, drawing on Korean mythology and mystical beliefs. The film is somewhat difficult to grasp. The supernatural aspects reflect a Korean perspective on realms beyond our own, which may not be easily understood by viewers in the West. However, it delivers an amusing and enjoyable supernatural adventure that shares qualities with films like Ghostbusters, Indiana Jones, and the series Supernatural, while still feeling distinct. It's generally entertaining, featuring good atmosphere, action sequences, and performances to support its occasionally intricate plot. Overall, this is a diverting experience compared to typical Western supernatural stories and deserves consideration.
