The story of bravery and heroic deeds has been told many times, and this version places it in an Eastern setting with "Dong YiLong" (Henry Lau) and his companions facing off against nine other fighters in a dangerous competition. A neighboring ruler orchestrates the event for their own purposes. As far as fantasy adventures go, this one contains all the expected elements: a good-looking protagonist, fantastical creatures, swordplay, martial arts sequences, and a fairly standard resolution. It’s not aiming for anything particularly complex; the special effects resemble those found in video games, and the conversations are brief, but the action provides some entertainment value. If you're looking for two hours of uncomplicated enjoyment, it could be a better choice than many others.
