It earns four stars for what it is: a skillfully crafted thriller. The performances are pleasing, the cinematography is well done, and the plot itself is agreeable. It’s true that the concept isn't groundbreaking, although most viewers will likely recognize this kind of narrative from previous experiences. While there are moments where you can anticipate what's coming, predictability is common in storytelling. The characters feel somewhat generic, but they serve their purpose within the story. This makes for a pleasant backdrop while engaged in other activities. I don’t believe it was intended as an awards contender or something designed to make you think deeply; rather, its aim seems simply to provide entertainment.
