My experience with professional basketball is limited to a single event, and this film felt very much in line with that. There was an excessive amount of buildup beforehand, a lively audience seemingly energized by various substances, and a game that seemed almost unimportant until the final moments when it became closely contested and built toward a suspenseful finish. Goofy takes on numerous roles—the solitary fan from the opposing team, the discouraged coach, the player perpetually benched, even someone who’s taller than the basket itself. Similar to the game I witnessed, I didn't particularly enjoy this one. The story moves along at a decent speed, but it becomes too repetitive, and the central joke is repeated just one time too many.
